"献爱心无惧飓风，伸援手重建家园"

— 大纽约地区华人华侨“桑迪”飓风赈灾义演

“桑迪”飓风袭击美东地区，纽约、新州遭遇历史上罕见的自然灾害，屋毁人亡，都市泽国，停水断电，缺油少粮，损失极为惨重。重灾区至今无法恢复正常生活，很多人还只能在庇护所度日，面临低温严寒的逼近，他们的处境令人堪忧。

美国是我们的家。面对家园被毁，人民受灾，华人华侨看在眼里，痛在心上，为此，大纽约地区数十个团体携手组织这场赈灾义演，用实际行动贡献美国，帮助灾民度难关，建家园。

无论来自何方，无论男女老幼，请伸出双手，献出大爱！

此次义演的门票和义卖收入全部捐赠给美国红十字会。

义演安排：

• 内容：音乐舞蹈、中西乐器
• 地点：法拉盛市政厅（Flushing Town Hall）
• 时间：11月10日（星期六）下午1时至4时；
• 捐款：三次登台捐款（2:00、3:00、4:00）。演出过程中穿插义卖（每半个小时一次）。
• 邀请嘉宾：联邦参议员陆天娜代表、舒默代表、市长代表、国会众议员代表、州议员孟昭文、市主计长刘醇逸、市议员顾雅明、陈倩雯等。

Charity Concert for Hurricane Sandy's Victims

The Metro New York area was hit by Hurricane Sandy last week. The historical disaster has caused significant hardships to our neighbors over the days, including casualties, property damage, blackouts, the suspension of public transportation, and the lack of heat, water, and gasoline. To help out in this time of need, dozens of Chinese organizations in the Greater New York Area will be hosting the Charity Concert to raise relief funds for victims of Hurricane Sandy. The organizations hope to raise an estimated amount of $100,000 to donate to the American Red Cross.
