Brief Introduction

Etablished in 1985, the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars of New York (ACSSNY) is a not-for-profit, non-political, non-religious organization officially registered in New York City in the United States of America. ACSSNY has branch associations at thirty-three universities and research institutes in the Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) of the Eastern United States. With more than five thousand members, who are mainly from Mainland China, ACSSNY is the largest organization of Chinese Students and Scholars in USA.

ACSSNY aims to provide a variety of services to Chinese students and scholars in the Metropolitan New York Area; to safeguard its members' legal rights; to strengthen unity and facilitate communication among the various branch   associations through cultural, educational and social activities; to enhance   communication and cooperation with other social organizations; to promote Chinese culture to the American people; to advance China's open-door and reform policies; and to serve as a bridge between China and the United States.

Metropolitan New York is the financial and industrial center of the United States and a hub of renowned American universities and research institutions. Offering expertise in all kinds of fields and specialties, ACSSNY members are present in universities, research institutions and companies throughout the Metropolitan New York Area. This huge, unparalleled bank of talents has unique capacities in various aspects. To apply these advantages to the betterment of our homeland is also an important long-term task of ACSSNY.
